Exeptional pair of Maximilian lounge chairs by John Vesey. All original - polished aluminum with original diamond tufted, glove tanned calfskin upholstery. Leather has been reconditioned and is completely usuable. A classic Vesey form inspired by Cuban planter's chairs. Incorporates Vesey's inventive use of aluminum mesh as a base for the upholstery.
These chairs are shown in "Design Forcast 1" by Aluminum Company of America 1959 P.20
